From the very first commercial, I was into the idea of this show so when it premiered I was watching. And it did not disappoint!
I love this show because Wynonna is a hot mess but she’s tough. She kicks ass, loves hard and she’s funny. Problem is her hotmessedness is why I want to strangle her each week. Wynonna is so impulsive she doesn’t think of the long term ramifications of what her impulsiveness creates. I’m happy that the show doesn’t shy away from commenting on how many times she screws stuff up. Which is ALOT. And that’s where Agent (I think he’s an agent??) Dolls comes in. He calls her on her b.s, secretly thinks she’s the bee’s knees but scowls when she’s looking and he’s the only one with one foot in reality in Purgatory. Dolls understands responsibility and productivity when everyone else seems to forget that there is this thing called LAWS and accountability.
Actual footage of Wynonna losing her gun for the billionth time.
I’m going to start keeping a count on how many times Wynonna loses that gun of hers. The most important gun in the war against demon/Revenants, Wyatt Earp’s gun. She either drops it in fright, shock or leaves it on the counter or hell, someone might just grab it out of her hand. It’s so infuriating! and the fact that her and Waverly never exchanges any kind of communication that would help them deal with the situation in a timely, more efficient manner, absolutely kills me.
Her little sister, Waverly found out the truth about Doc Holiday and her first stop wasn’t to call Wynonna ASAP and tell her, nope not in this little world. She also found out that she has a certain connection with Bobo (the resident bad guy who isn’t that bad?) and she chose to stomp away and be frivolous. I just wish they would exchange information. I don’t blame Dolls for being grumpy and suspicious, I would be too, given who he’s working with. They literally leave him out of the loop EVERY TIME, so he has to sift through the wreckage to find out the truth every single episode.
Those Earp girls would drive anyone to drink as they spin their wheels until the next Revenant shows up and conveniently DOES NOT KILL THEM FOR REASONS UNKNOWN although they’re basically sitting ducks. P.S Doc Holliday is totally NOT TO BE TRUSTED!
I like Waverly, she’s sweet and spunky but she’s also a terrible spy and it’s just luck that no one has dragged her out from behind her hiding space and strangled her, just to teach Wynonna a lesson.
My face every time someone catches Willa in her hiding spot.
Still, I’m greatly enjoying Wynonna Earp as it gets stronger and better with each episode which seems to be the case with all the new SYFY original tv shows.

Well my planned binge watching went awry yesterday, but I did watch the first episode and loved it! It reminded me a little of Supernatural with Sam and Dean and the Colt made by Samuel Colt himself that could kill demons.

omg that’s so true! It does give off first episode/season Supernatural vibes!! I think, as with most SYFY original shows, as the season gets on, the writing, plot and acting will get stronger!
